To make a candle last, follow these tips for optimal burning: During the first burn, let the candle create a full melt pool, where the wax melts completely to the edges of the container. This helps prevent tunneling and ensures an even burn in subsequent uses. Avoid burning a candle for more than 4 hours at a time. It's best to extinguish it after a few hours, let it cool down, and then relight if desired. This prevents overheating and extends the candle's lifespan. Keep the candle away from drafts, such as open windows or fans. Air currents can cause uneven burning and may lead to the wax melting faster than intended. Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame to extinguish the candle. Avoid blowing too forcefully, as it can splatter hot wax.
